BAS Project Lego-scope

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if kids could look through a scope which was built for THEM? Well...now they can!!! The Brisbane Astronomical Society has created a telescope made out of Lego, and at a scale which is child friendly. They can learn all about “how it works”, because all the interior optical parts are clearly visible.

Some of the many pieces which have been sorted into containers. This allowed for a much faster build time.	The primary mirror set inside the beginnings of the octagonal optical tube assembly. Collimation screws may be installed at a later stage to allow accurate alignment of the mirror.
